Paperwork drop off

Title services may drop off transactions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Tax Office HQ Dealer Lobby, 2433 Ridgepoint Drive. Payment is required when the transactions are dropped off.

Title service company licensing

State law requires we properly license your title service business and employees who prepare, submit, and/or pick up motor vehicle documents.

Your company and any owner or employee who works on motor vehicle documents for a monetary fee or any other form of compensation, needs a tax office license.

Complete the Travis County Motor Vehicle Title Service License Application and the Motor Vehicle Title Service Ancillary License application. The title service license is for one owner and the business. The ancillary license is mandatory for additional owners and for your document preparers and runners.
Sign background check forms.
Submit your application fee.
