Voter Registration Partnership Program

Show your American pride by partnering with us to encourage voter registration. It’s easy to become a partner and you’ll be doing your part to make our county, state and country great.

Best of all, this is a nonpartisan commitment. Our goal is to register more than 90 percent of the eligible voters. In Texas, you do not declare a political party when you register and volunteers who register voters cannot ask about political party.

You can also choose your level of participation: Red, White or Blue.

We are looking for all businesses, nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, schools, community groups and religious organizations to become our Voter Registration Partners. Together we can make Travis County the star of voter registration in the Lone Star State.

Eligibility

The following organizations qualify:

  • Businesses in good standing
  • Non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations
  • Governmental entities
  • Schools
  • Political organizations that file financial reports with the Federal Election Commission, State Ethics Commission, Travis County Clerk, City of Austin Clerk or with any other governmental entity that covers territory located within Travis County
  • Professional associates in good standing
  • Neighborhood associations
  • Religious organizations

Levels

We invite you to partner with us to help make sure every eligible Travis County voter is registered to vote. Becoming a Voter Registration Partner with the Travis County Tax Office is easy and you’ll be providing an important public service.

We offer three levels of participation: Red, White & Blue. And because we are partners, the Travis County Tax Office will name your organization as a voter registration location on its website. Depending on which level you choose, we will also provide you with additional opportunities to promote your organization online and at voter registration events and celebrations.

Red

  • Place a Voter Registration poster and display box with our postage paid mail-in voter registration application and agree to contact us when new applications are needed.
  • Place a link to Travis County voter registration information on your website.
  • Host at least one voter registration event at your business or community event.
  • Make voter registration applications available at conferences, workshops, shows or other locations where you set up a booth display.
  • Provide in-kind services, such as adding the "Register, Be Counted, Vote" logo on your business or organization t-shirts and promotional materials, donating media buy time to run a voter registration public service announcement or purchasing giveaways that encourage voter registration.
